A couple of weeks after returning home and back to regular activities, I again asked the kids what their favorite part of the cruise vacation was ..... it was unanimous - there was no single favorite part, it was ALL 'favorite', and yes, they would absolutely like to do it again. I fear we have spoiled them for future vacations.
Logan did ask me, however, to make an addition to this blog - he wants to see the jokes that the cruise director told on various occasions. Here are some of the most frequently asked dumb questions that are posed to the cruise staff - those of you who have cruised before have most likely heard them all!
1. Does the crew sleep on board? (answer: No, we each have a personal SeaDoo so we can go home at night!)
2. Does the ship generate its own electricity? (No, we are plugged in to Vancouver.)
3. Do these stairs go up or down? (Grandma's answer : ALL stairs go Down, there is an elevator if you want to go Up!)
4. Does this elevator go to the front of the ship?
5. Do the toilets use fresh or salt water? (Only two reasons you need to know - #1 and #2.)
6. What do you do with the ice sculptures when they melt? (We put them in the water bottles - and you thought you were getting fresh water!)
7. Is this the same moon I see at home? (No - this one is slightly larger and is made of Swiss cheese.)
8. Is this island surrounded by water?
Logan's favorite cabin steward story - they are so efficient that if you go to the bathroom during the night, you will come back and find your bed made - even if your wife or husband is still in it!
Also, someone was at the front desk complaining that the microwave in his cabin did not work - the cruise director went to check it out - and found a cup of coffee and a muffin in the passenger's safe!
